This happened at Seventh Avenue, Alexandra, yesterday (07 May 2021) after a pregnant woman supposedly pretended to look for a room.
She is alleged to have asked the owner of the place, known as Palesa, to charge her a phone.
Palesa apparently shifted out, leaving the pregnant woman with a kid known as the Queen.
Then the young thief took the opportunity to steal the keys from Queen before stealing the items.
“When I realized she had stolen our things, I organized residents and we tracked her down. All we got is one bag.
The other one with a food is still missing. She was with her boyfriend when we nailed her.”
The thief told Alex Reporter that she was stealing for the first time and that no one had sent her to steal.
It is not yet clear whether the pregnancy is fake or genuine.
