Furious community members at Gandlanani Village in Malamulele, Limpopo province, have vowed to disrupt classes at Hlaluko Secondar throughout the week.

This was after a Grade 12 learner was repeatedly stabbed in the face and body by her ex-boyfriend

The little girl is now fighting for her life in hospital.

The ex-boyfriend who allegedly fathers a child with the victim lives in Mafanele Village, near Gandlanani.

He allegedly waited for the girl after school hours.

” He stabbed her in full view of other learners not far from the school premises and we were scared to rescue the girl. That was a frightening incident.

” While he was stabbing her, he sucked the blood. That shocked all of us. He resembled a witch,” a source said.

The perpetrator is said to have released the girl who was bleeding profusely when a man fired shots into the air.

The man who is still at large, is said to have gone to the family of the victim and allegedly threatened to kill his baby and also set the houses alight.

In retaliation, furious villagers went to his home and torched all the houses.

“He had stabbed her before and nothing was done. I think he is being used by his family to do witchcraft. A normal person couldn’t do that.

“The way he was running when a shot was fired, he was extremely fast and nobody could have caught him,” our mole added.

Another source said when the community members were baying for his blood at his home, he came out of the house, he escaped and ouran them.

” He ran very fast and nobody matched his speed. That guy is a wizard. What also enabled him to hide was the darkness as there was Loadshedding.”

The villagers said they the disruption of classes was to make their frustration and anger heard. They said they demanded the intervention of all structures to assist them in catching the suspect.

They alleged that his family was shielding and hidding him. ” When we went to his aunt, she said she didn’t know where he was. As we were still talking to her, the man emerged from her house and ran away.”

The community also wanted to burn down his aunt’s home but they were ordered not to do so allegedly by chief Mavambe.

This is a developing story and details will be added.
