When Moses Nkwinika, aka Xigaza, left Alex FM in 2017 after joining the station in 2010, many listeners dearly missed his voice.
He hosted Makondlo Mambirhi with Michael Shabangu and the show was very popular because both presenters made interviews with Xitsonga musos very interesting.
However, Xigaza’s revered voice revived the spirit of his supporters when he joined Mzansi Joburg City FM as a presenter on a show called Tikatara .
According to him, Tikatara is a popular show and has a lot of listeners due to its content.
Xigaza became a TV presenter on African Talks Business (a TV channel for Africa news) in the same month.
His media journey was inspired by radio personalities like Bamboo Johnson, Morgan Shivambu, and the late Benjani Mashaba, to name just a few.
The talented star says he started his radio career in 2005 at The Voice of Tembisa FM.
Xigaza (43) is no malala-pipe presenter who hates books. In 2001, he completed a one-year broadcasting diploma course at Boston Media House.
In 2002, he obtained a certificate in Radio and TV presenting from Jay Bee Casting Academy.
In January 2007, he joined Comutanet as a radio presenter, producer and music compiler.
“My dream is to see myself growing in this industry, working for the public broadcaster MLFM, Khaya FM or Radio 2000,” wishes the Alex man who is originally from Malamulele Mdavula village in Limpopo.
His advice to the aspiring presenters is, “If you have passion for radio, never give up and believe in yourself, you will be successful.”
