AJ’s House is a South African platform which serves to promote the emerging Afro House market.
Hosted by DJ and producer AJ Mafokate, the platform hosts prominent and upcoming talent on social media platforms: You Tube, Instagram, and Facebook.
AJ’s House releases weekly episodes on YouTube featuring guest mixes and interviews with DJ/producers.
After a year since inception, AJ’s House has grown organically with appearances by Thakzin, Lady Zamar, DJ Merlon, Lemon & Herb, DJ Lesoul and Darque just to name a few.
This month AJ’s House will be celebrating its 1st Birthday since its inception And to appreciate and honor the support of its viewers and followers, also in respect of music creators and fans, the celebration will encompass a free Music Business Workshop powered by the South African Music Youth Forum (SAMYF).
SAMYF serves to develop and impart knowledge of the South African Music industry among young people.
The workshop session will focus on topics such as brand management, online distribution and royalties, publishing and radio compilation; with the panel discussion featuring industry experts such as Munya Chanetsa- Managing Director at Empire Africa Records, Just MO – YFM Radio Host, Pule Mokoa – Content Connect Africa A&R Manager, Valentine Mphahlele – Founder of Alternative Machine Entertainment, Bongani Mnisi – Director at Indigenous Tunes, as well as AJ Mafokate as a Host.
Following the Workshop, the event will be proceeded by the AJ’s House 1st Birthday Celebration which will stage big DJ’s and artists such as Chronical Deep, Lizwi, Owami Mafokate, JNR SA, and many more.
