KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years’ experience in communication and stakeholder relations.
Well-developed knowledge of local community cultures, leaders, customs and practices through prior involvement in the community.
General knowledge of local and provincial government practices and protocol.
Display the personal character strengths of trust, tact, integrity and fairness.
Ability to coordinate and negotiate.
Demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills including:
An ability to act as project representative.
An ability to articulate and deliver information both technical and general at community level.
Mediation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to source and filter information for feedback to the community in a language they will understand.
Demonstrate the ability to liaise with all levels of community.
Ability to operate computers and knowledge of business support software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or Equivalent.
