The founder & CEO of Esther Show Sbongile Mbatha from GNF TV, Esther The Light Foundation hosted her 1st Women in leadership Seminar on the 31st August 2024.
The educational event held at Sandton AOG was themed ” Take up space # Occupy”.
The gorgeous ladies who graced the classy event were inspired to ” Dress like a Boss lady”
Mbatha, an Accountant by profession, said the purpose of this day was to empower each other with knowledge, wisdom and leadership principles and skills. She is a firm believer that women have so much power that lies within them and only if they can exercise that power they can go far. She also believes that for an organisation to function its fully capacity, leadership should play a big role and women need to take up space and occupy their shape.
Amongst her speakers were Lady Bishop Hloniphile Makamu, Mrs Thandiwe Mbatha ( Founder & CEO of Thakhu Events and Catering Company), Mrs Boitumelo Langa (a Chemical Engineer and Consultant), Dr Ntsiki (a Leadership Expect & Global Speaker), Ramofelwe Lekgoane (CEO & Founder Remlo Cosmetics). Hope Alive Radio was part of the event. Sibusiso Mabhengu Media recorded the history.
The ladies honoured the theme but above all were empowered, equipped and well informed. ” Leadership is influence, leadership is falling in love with people you serve and them falling in love with you, leadership about service not position,” added the influential Mbatha.
What was the inspiration behind the dress code? She explained, “ Pink is just feminine and white is just elegant. But ‘Dress like a Boss Lady means, dress like how you would like to be addressed. The manner you present yourself determines whether people take you serious or not. Present yourself well through your dress code.”
