Alex police have opened murder and robbery case following the death of a couple in Alex.
According to Alex police spokesperson Sergent Simphiwe Mbatha, a man and his wife were robbed and shot dead in front of their children.
The incident happened around 1 am this morning at 8th Ruth.
Mbatha said the male suspect took a Plasma TV, a laptop and three cell phones from the couple.
No arrest has yet been made.
