In the story written by the citizen dated 23 July 2015, a Joburg woman found a freaky creture in Lucky Star tinned fish.
Fisheries company Ocean Group has since apologised after a customer found what seems to be a prawn in a can of Lucky Start Pilchards.
A photo of the creature, descriibed by oceana as ” a marine crustacean”, was shared on Facebook by Johanesburg resident Hayley Diedericks on July 15.
She wrote in the caption” My poor domestic worker found this THING in a tin of pilchards…bloody hell.”
Deidericks said after laying a compaint,the creature was apparently checked by the company.
She said she received “a call from the markerting director Lucky Star and the nunu is a mantis shrimp not a parktown prawn”.
