A 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL STABBED SEVERAL TIMES ON HER WAY TO SCHOOL BY HER STEP-FATHER

The Mankweng police have arrested a 48-year-old male suspect for the brutal murder of his 14-year-old stepdaughter in Ga-Thoka village outside the Mankweng policing precinct yesterday at around 6:30 in the morning.

According to the Police report, the victim was on her way to school with her fellow learner when suddenly her stepfather attacked and stabbed her several times using a sharp object, leaving her helpless on the road.

The police were made aware of the attack. They arrived to find the victim lying in a pool of blood, still wearing a well-known school uniform of Ga-Thoka.

The police and emergency medical service personnel were summoned, and upon their arrival, she was declared dead on the scene.

The police immediately launched a search operation and found the suspect in Polokwane, where he was arrested.

According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect had domestic violence with the deceased’s mother the previous night.

The 48-year-old male suspect, who is the stepfather to the deceased, will appear before Mankweng Magistrate’s Court on Monday, March 17, 2025, facing murder charges.
