Police in Motetema have arrested a 36-year-old male suspect for a case of murder that occurred at Makorokorong village in Tafelkop on Tuesday, 16 July 2024.
According to the information, the victim and the suspect had an altercation while they were drinking beer and celebrating the initiates graduation. In the process, the suspect stabbed the victim on the upper body with an unknown sharp instrument.
Police and Emergency Medical Service were called, and the victim was certified dead at the scene.
A case of murder was opened, and the suspect was then arrested.
“The suspect will appear before the Motetema District Court on Thursday, 18 July 2024, on charges of murder.
“Police investigations continue,” said Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
