Tebogo Dikgale (16), a grade 10 learner at Rantailane Satellite Secondary School, has been sitting at home since August 26th.

She was allegedly banned by the school principal. The school is situated in Ga-Rankuwe
Zone 6 next to Tim Modise Primary School.

Now her future hangs in the balance with many questions.

” I got kicked out of school due to false accusations against me and my boyfriend that we were having sex in a public school bus on our way home.

” Now I’m very worried about my future,” said the Soshanguve resident.

Her boyfriend, Karabo Raboroko (20), who is also doing grade 10 at the same school, was also banned by principal, Mr. PM Masiane.

The girl has stated that she is stranded and angry because there is no physical or tangible proof to support the principal’s claim.

She says the bus conductor reported the allegation to the principal. She blames Masiane for banning her from the school without providing any proof.

According to her, even her classmates who were with her on the bus were surprised about the matter.

Tebogo’s mother, Alleta Dikgale (51) claims that her daughter would never commit such acts.

She said she took her daughter to Kopanong Clinic in Soshanguve so that they could conduct tests on her. However, the nurses allegedly told her that no such tests would be performed in the facility.

She said that if she had money, she would allow her daughter to take a lie detector test.

Tebogo said she was also influenced to open a case against her boyfriend because she was underage. But that, she says, confused her, as there was nothing that happened that day.

“And it’s also being said that it was a statutory rape because he is 20 years old and I am 16.

” I’m pleading for help from you, to get my story out there.

“I’m concerned about where else I’m going to pursue my studies. I have already missed three exam papers.”

Our efforts to contact Masiane for comments, drew a blank as his phone ranged unanswered. We also sent him an email, but he hadn’t responded by the time of going to press.

The spokesperson for Gauteng education, Steve Mabona, had not responded to our WhatsApp text . His phone went unanswered as well.

The story will be updated by Alex Reporter once the two have commented.
