A SECURITY GUARD NABBED FOR THREE COUNTS OF ATTEMPTED MURDER

The police in Polokwane have arrested a male security guard aged 45, who allegedly fired warning shots and injured three people, while on duty at corner Paul Kruger and Devenish Streets in Polokwane town, on Saturday, 09 November 2024 at around 16:30.

According to information, the security guard, alleged that he noticed some suspicious movements, whereby he thought that his colleague was being kidnapped.

He immediately fired warning shots on the ground and in the process three people were injured.

The police and paramedics were summoned to the scene and the three victims were transported to the hospital to receive medical treatment.

Police opened three counts of attempted murder against the security guard. The firearm was seized.

He will appear before Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 11 November 2024.
