The police in Dennilton are investigating an inquest docket after a body of a man was found hanging from a tree after he allegedly killed his wife at Ntoane village Dennilton on Thursday, 28 November 2024.
The police discovered a body of a 45-year-old man who was alleged to have stabbed his wife to death at their residence in Ntoane on Monday, 25 November.
The suspect after the heinous act allegedly fled the scene and had been on the run.
The police are investigating the possibility that the suspect had been assisted in evading arrest, saying that harboring a criminal is a serious offense and punishable by law.
An inquest docket has been opened for further investigations.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe
encouraged Denilton community to work with relevent structures to fight against gender-based violence and domestic abuse.
“It is heartbreaking to see both parents passing on , thus leaving their children as orphans,”said Hadebe.
