The Mangondi Sidou villeger, in Limpopo, Livhuwani Madadzhe (38) who was arrested for the alleged murder of his wife, has abandoned his bail application in the Thohoyandou Magistrates’ Court.
It is alleged that the accused killed his wife Lindelani Nengovhela (32) and threw her into the hole next to the pit toilet.
According to Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi
NPA spokesperson, the deceased had opened a case of domestic violence against the suspect, and he was arrested and later released on bail of R1000.
“On 27 January 2023, the suspect and the deceased appeared in Thohoyandou Magistrates’ Court for a domestic violence case.
“The deceased approached the prosecution, and the case was then disposed of through a mediation process.
“Both the deceased and the suspect effectively participated in the mediation process, which was initiated by the deceased.
“On 28 January 2023, the lifeless body of the deceased was then discovered,” said Malabi-Dzhangi.
The matter was postponed to the 23rd of February 2023 for further investigations and the accused has been remanded in custody.
