When Agnes Mohanoe (47) wins the contest, she won’t let it end there.
She will use the title to open opportunities for others.
She is also committed to opening her own NGO in which she will build a safe space for the abused women and children.
The 47-year-old is a semifinalist for Face of Queens With Purpose 2022.
She tells our news team that her love for pageantry is something that has always been there.
“like any young girl, I always had dreams of being a princess wearing a beautiful gown and just looking amazing. So the love has always been there.
“However, the love was recently revived when I realized that the beauty is not only a pretty face, but also a woman who gives back to her community.”
She says serving people is something that has always been a part of her that can be traced back to her parents.
Agnes was born in South Africa and raised in Lesotho. After spending 16 years there, she came back to Mzansi.
She is a life coach, a public speaker, a mother “not only to the people I gave birth to, but to everyone around me”.
“I love food and because of my love for cooking, I run a kitchen business and I also cook for the needy.”
This is Agnes’ first pageantry.
“Frankly, this path has chosen me. It matched my desire to serve and give back to the community and help those in need,” said the Meals on Wheels (NPO) volunteer.
“I help with cooking and serving food.
“I have come to learn that in life, the more you give to others, the more you will receive and that life will give you obstacles.
“But these obstacles come to you to build you and direct you exactly where you have to go.”
Her message to youth and to people in general is: “It is never too late to fulfill your dreams and live a life that has a purpose, no matter what happens.
“Life might have thrown at you. But if you have a dream and an aspiration, pursue it, regardless of how long it takes.
“Because, whatever happens, everything will eventually fall into place.
