The Ga-Rankuwa Magistrates’ Court postponed the murder case against Gopolang Alfred More (27) to 25 March 2023 for further investigations.
More is charged with murder, following the death of 26-year-old Mariam Makane, known to be his girlfriend.

NPA Regional Spokesperson said preliminary reports from the police indicated that on Sunday, 18 December 2022, the accused went to fetch his girlfriend and their 3-year-old child from her home in Mamelodi.
“It is unclear at this stage how she ended up with More as he had a restraining order.
“He allegedly drove with them to a graveyard in Ga-Rankuwa, where he stabbed her several times with a bottle in the presence of their child, and left her there.
“Subsequent to his action, he drove to his home, allegedly with bloodied clothes, and left the child with his brother.
“He allegedly confessed to killing the mother’s child before leaving the child,” Mamothame said.
The matter was reported to the police and More was arrested on Tuesday, 20 December 2022.
He will remain in police custody until the next court appearance in March 2023.
