Those who attended the long-awaited live recording of Muhluri Baloyi (35), held at the Salem assembly auditorium in Protea Glen, Soweto, had an encounter with God!

The live recording became a religious service as people were full of the touch of God.

The album, recorded on April 10, 2021, is titled ‘Wafuma Yeso’, with 15 unmissable tracks.

Muhluri revealed that her favorite tracks were the title track and ‘Modimo wa Tsohle’.

She said she was happy the recording had produced the unexpected.

“The band and the singers were on point. Being a child of the Restoration Records gives me more hope. I can see a very promising future.

“My fans are excited about the songs. One of my hit songs, ‘Wafuma Yeso’ is trending like nobody’s business, although it’s not yet out,” she says.

The God-fearing woman from Gawula village, near Giyani in Limpopo, is fully committed to her natural talent.

She wants to make a lasting impression on the gospel industry.

“In the near future, I would love to hear my music play worldwide and be nominated in various awards, including in Africa and abroad. I’d also like to have my own studio and lead my own choir.”

Muhluri began to sing when she was 4.

But she made a name for herself with her debut album ‘I Muhluri Yeso’.

She is presently employed by Sithabile Technology Services.

She was inspired by two revered musos: Dr Rebecca Malope and Bishop Benjamin Dube.

She recorded her first album at the Breytenbach Theatre in Sunnyside, Pretoria and released by the Restoration records studio.

The album marks the beginning of Muhluri’s career that earned him many nominations.

The village gospel singer was nominated at the NPC Xitsonga Gospel Awards, in the best female artist category.

Limpopo Gospel Music Awards Nominated her Album for best praise song and I Muhluri I Yeso, for the song of the year.

Her excellent work went on and she was invited to the Independent National Gospel Music Awards (INGOMA) where she was nominated Best New Comer.

Her advice to other musicians is: “Be patient, believe in yourselves, write your own songs; not only songs, but the songs that will elevate God and heal the nations.

“Don’t try to be somebody else, just be you and trust God’s process to work on you.

“To all my fans and my family, thank you very much for your support. This support is pushing me to offer more music.”
