Bishop Israel Makamu’s sexual saga looks far from over.
While South Africans focused on other things, his scandal emerged with a horrendous development.
In an interview with the famous journalist Solomon Izang Ashoms, the victim states that it was not the first time that the bishop asked her for her punani.
She alleged the bishop told her he loved her and made sexual advances on her in a car.
She said that at the time his wife was pregnant.
The victim said that she was advised by a co-worker who was also working in the church to record the bishop if he tried to harass her again.
That was the result of the recording, which was circulated on social media last week.
The girl told the news man that she quit her church work before sharing the controversial recording with her parents.
She claimed that her parents faced the bishop, who later allegedly offered them R1-million. The bishop’s wife also reportedly spoke with her mother and offered her money.
She claimed that both her parents had declined the dirty offer.
On the photos that also made the buzz, Makamu on Sunday, May 16, 2021, was seen happily hosted by his congregation.
Pastor Eric Nkuna of Jesus Is Coming Soon Ministry, in the interview with our sister publication, Giyani View, allegedly said the disgraced Makamu should have taken a break in the body of Christ to purify himself.
There were mixed reactions on social media concerning Makamu’s conduct.
While others said the bishop was also a human being and blamed the young girl, others said he should have practised what he preached.
Makamu wasn’t reached for comment at the time of going to print.
