The Black Power Movement has expressed its unwavering solidarity with the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) officers who were striking for” fair salaries and dignified working conditions”.
According to the Gauteng Provincial Coordinator
Owen Manda the EMPD’s strike underscores “the ANC government’s 31-year betrayal of Black workers and the systemic rot crippling service delivery in Gauteng’s cities, where mismanagement, nepotism, and corruption have left communities unsafe and infrastructure crumbling”.
“The EMPD strike is a rallying cry. Liberation remains incomplete. We urge Black South Africans to:
• Educate and Organize: Mobilize youth and communities to reject complacency.
• Reclaim Power: Build networks of resistance in townships, schools, and workplaces.
“We reject the ANC’s culture of incompetence and declare that Black Power Movement is the future of South Africa. Rooted in self-determination and Black Consciousness.
“We are reclaiming Black pride, identity, and intellectual sovereignty. Our ideology demands:
• Economic Justice: Fair wages, land redistribution, and community-owned enterprises.
• Anti-Corruption: Ruthless accountability for public officials.
• Youth Empowerment: Education systems that decolonize minds and skills.
• Grassroots Governance: Power returned to the people, not political elites.”
Mamda said that the The Black Power Movement is not just a political party but a it a revolution.
“We fight to dismantle poverty, corruption, and mental slavery. Join us in forging a future rooted in justice, dignity, and unapologetic Black pride.
“We are a grassroots liberation movement dedicated to the total emancipation of Black South Africans. We champion economic justice, cultural pride, and governance that serves the people—not politicians.”
