The attack of two black boys by white men in has made noise on social media.
The police in Free State police are now probing the circumstances after an alleged racially-motivated attack. The black teenagers were prevent were allegedly barred from using the swimming pool at a resort on Christmas Day.
A video clip, shared on social media, captured part of the incident at Maselspoort Resort and Conference Centre, about 23km outside Bloemfontein, according to Sowetan Live.
On the press statement, Premier Sisi Ntombela has “noted with disgust the video circulating on social media of white men attacking children at the Masselspoort Resort on Christmas Day”.
“I have instructed DESTEA MEC Makalo Mohale to deal with the matter with the urgency it deserves and engage law enforcement agencies.
“Racism and such barbaric actions have no place in our province,” said Ntombela.
According to Palesa Chubisi, spokesperson to the Free State Premier, Mohale will meet with the management of Masselspoort to gather all the facts and also get in touch with the victims.
“The Province will make a pronouncement on the way forward as soon as the engagements have been concluded,” said Chubisi.
