1. Business robbery
Elias Manuel Da Silva alleged that on 2022-01-25 at about 18:45, a male thug wearing blue overalls, approached him at Alex Metro Butchery, 30-3rd Street, Wynberg and pointed him with a firearm.
The thug allegedly went with him to the office where he looked for money from one of the drawers.
According to Alexandra Police spokesperson Sergeant Mbatha, the hooligan, then took Silva back to the store. That’s where they found six other thugs busy taking money from the cash register.
After the robbery, the thugs rushed into a white Toyota Quantum with unknown license plates.
“The complainant has a video footage of the incident and can be able to identify the suspect that went with him in the office as he was not wearing a mask. The total cash robbed is R59 000-00,” said Mbatha.
2. Hijacking
Mr Mashilo Ethiel Motlapema (35) of Tembisa, alleged that on Tuesday, 2022-01-25 at about 11:30, he stopped his car, a white Toyota Hilux GD-6 (Reg no: JP93MR GP) outside no: 04-7th Avenue, Alexandra to deliver a parcel to Mr Liang.
While he was still there, three African men approached him and one of them pointed a gun at him and demanded the car keys.
According to Mbatha, the thugs searched him and took the car key, wallet containing R270-00 in cash, driver’s license and a Capitec bank card.
After hijacking the car, they drove off while he followed them walking.
“He stated that he asked a T-shirt from a street vendor and put on it so that the suspects would not recognize him.
“The vehicle stopped at 6th Avenue. The suspects offloaded the boxes and took them to the spaza which was closer to where the bakkie was parked.
“After that, they drove off and the complainant contacted the police. On the police’s arrival, he showed them where the boxes were stored and they recovered only two boxes,” said Mbatha.
The other 32 boxes were nowhere to be found. The bakkie is worth R300 000-00.

3.Hijacking
Mr Mahulwanyana Mamogobo (29) of 12th Avenue, Alexandra alleged that on Tuesday, 2022-01-25 at about 11:00, he was driving a white Nissan NP200 bakkie (Reg no: KF17MJ GPA) on the Sparrow street in East Bank, Alexandra with his colleague Phemelo Langa, when three African males stopped their vehicle.
The victims were ordered by one of the thugs who carried a gun to get out of the car.
The thugs robbed the victims, their two A12 cell phones, and left with the company car, leaving them on the street.
The victims work for Take-a-lot and they were delivering packages to their customers in Alexandra.
The cellphones worth R3000-00 each and the vehicle worth +-R120 000-00.
The suspects are unknown and on the loose.
4. Business robbery
Mr J van Wyk, the manager of Supabets, alleged that on Wednesday, 2022-01-26, at 05:28, he opened business doors for business as usual.
Surprisingly, four African men stormed the workshop. And another thug with a gun ordered the staff to lie down.
They searched the manager, the staff and took a cell phone, keys, watch, wallet, power bank, cooler box, lunch box and a silver knife.
Mbatha said the victims’ hands were tied with cable ties.
“Total value of the robbed items is R3967-00. The suspects are unknown, but there’s a video footage,” said Mbatha.
Crime in Alexandra will be high because Alexandra police are useless and they don’t care another thing is that the community knows this criminals but they don’t take steps they are hiding under foreigners.
