Connie Ferguson, the renowned producer and star of the Netflix series Kings of Joburg, has shocked fans by giving her ex-husband, Neo Matsunyane, another chance.
This surprising development has created a buzz among fans and media alike.
While the exact role Neo Matsunyane will play in Kings of Joburg season two remains unclear, sources reveal that he will be acting alongside Connie Ferguson.
This season is especially poignant for Connie, as she has dedicated it to her late husband, Shona Ferguson.
Interestingly, their daughter, Lesedi Matsunyane-Ferguson, serves as the casting director for the much-anticipated series.
A source shared insights into this unique dynamic: “Lesedi was the casting director for Kings of Joburg seasons one and two, and adding her father brought such an interesting dynamic to the series. It is giving people something to really look forward to.
“They are curious about what will happen to him, and their relationship as a family, and of course, the gossip will want to know about Neo and Connie. But there is really nothing there, just family bonds and friendships.”
Another insider added that Shona Ferguson would have approved of Neo’s involvement in the series.
“They are not shady like that. They had a very healthy relationship even before Uncle Sho passed on. I think his passing might have brought him and his daughter closer and that is okay.”
Connie Ferguson is a famous Botswana actress and businesswoman. She became well-known from Generation as the character of Karabo Moroka. She was married with late Shona Ferguson.
She’s blessed with two beautiful daughters Lesedi Ferguson and Angel Ferguson.
