Matibako Frank Motimele, well known as Dubaxy Starring, is one of the most sought-after-artist in Alex.
His unique deejaying skill always leaves patrons mesmerised and begging for more!
He has already shared stage with music icons like Busiswa, Stilo Magolide, Kabza De Small, Lemon Herbs,Thabzin Dj, Reece Madlisa, Big Zulu, Kelly Khumalo, Chat De Don, Dj Malwela, MashO, Mashabela Galane,just to name but a few.
Dubaxy Staring has since been obsessed with music and radio when he was a lad
He seriously responded to musical calling in 2008, the year when he would be invited to deejay at family gatherings,weddings,tarvens, including tombstone unveilings.
“I asked my friend Andress Mokou to teach me how to compose music,” he said.
In 2012 Dubaxy Starring moved to Johannesburg to further his studies.
“In 2015 I joined Alex FM 89.1 as producer of a traditional show called Khupamarama(which aired on Thursdays). ”
After he mastered radio techniques and content production in 2017, he was elevated to 3-6 am show which he co-hosted.
“I also co-host House Music Show every Friday 21:00-00:00.”
Dubaxy Staring is a revered house DJ who has massively received bookings to play at stadiums and Club’s around Johannesburg prior to Covid-19.
He described his second single called ‘Utlwa’ featuring TallArseTee and Smartology as a ‘must-listen’ offering.
“In 2020 I signed under Namo Music & Dope brand, owned by Tshepo Mokwebo aka DjXq.
“We recorded new single called 10111, featuring Pepe BBM.
“The track is now available on Digital Stores like Shazam, Youtube, Spotify, Itune,Traxsorce & Apple Music,” concludes the DJ who also played at plac like Phumolong Comes Alive, Alex Music Festival &Tembisa Colour Festival.
