For men, believed to be Zim nationals have been set alight in Setjwetla around 22 PM.
According to community members Alex Reporter spoke to, the alleged criminals were found with firearms and other deadly weapons in a shack in Xitshova ,Setjwetla in Alexandra.
They were allegedly five, but their presumed leader escaped. The alleged thugs who were burned alive allegedly stayed in Soweto and rented a shack in Setjwetla where the weapons were found, according to the residents.
The police arrived but could not stop the furious community that had flooded the scene near Juskei River at Vasco Road.
“The information we received is that the four individuals had guns and other dangerous weapons. Those thugs would go out at 10 PM and come back at 4 AM every day. Their job was only to commit crime in Alex. So we went to the shack and cornered them.
“While we were hitting them, they said they were from Zim but stayed in Soweto. They confessed that their main boss had sent them to commit crimes around Alex,” said the residents we spoke to.
Even a member of the community was not allowed to take photos, but the community members allowed us when we told them we were journalists.
The community of Alex, particularly Setjwetla is very angry and they have pledged to tackle crime by all means.
The Bramely police recently arrested another suspect, believed to be a dangerous School Bag, ( the criminal who has been terrorising the Alex community) after the Setjwetla residents allegedly caught him with a gun.
Alex Reporter will reveal his identity tomorrow when he appears in court.
