Nomzi Zeiigh MaSibutha is perhaps relatively new for strangers, but those who know her describe her as a promising Miss Universe!

Due to her great brain and beauty, the resilient woman is determined to brighten her star that will make the entire universe shine.

Nomzi began her modeling career in 2018 when she was 15 years old. She is, under the supervision of Ratanang Puswane, owner of the KM Modelling Agency… an agency that trains local models.

Her first professional contest was Miss Alex 2019 which was held at East Bank Hall on September 28, 2019.

She was crowned Miss Popularity Alex Teen 2019. A title she earned through the audience’s votes.

In April 2020, she participated in her first national beauty contest, Miss Influencial South Africa, where she became part of the semi-finalists.

To reduce the number of finalists, the contest team introduced an on-line voting method. With over 17 500 votes cast for Nomzi (which was the highest contestant vote count), she became a finalist.

“Sadly, because of a pandemic, the contest was cancelled. Shortly after that, I parted ways with the KM Modelling Agency. I am now an unsigned model,” says the sexy and upbeat woman.

However, these achievements resulted in her being recognized by models from her community as well as other provinces, local brands and photographers.

Later that year, Siyanda Luzipho, who is now her personal photographer, contacted her so that they would be able to work together. They promote one another’s work.

In December 2020 she was crowned Miss Royal Vaal 2020 Public Choice. While all this was happening Nomzi was a science matriculant at Alexandra High School.

Despite juggling the school and modelling tasks she managed to obtain a Bachelor’s pass as her school leaving results.

“I then decided to take a gap year to focus strictly on her modelling career. I’m currently a Miss Glam South Africa 2021 semi-finalist and I’m racing for the crown in September 24th 2021,” she said.

Nomzi has launched a campaign called “Clean Up the Mayibuye Complex” to help clean up the damage caused by the looting that took place last month in Mayibuye.

Her campaign was supported by the Manager of the Nkosi Hyper which was also affected by the looting, and ANC Ward 110 comrades who helped organised a Pick it Up truck.

“Pastor B Moyo also encouraged his congregation to join that movement. The Mayibuye community and Rabie Ridge Police Station Commander Mr Shirindza also participated in the successful campaign that took place on July 17,” says Nomzi

Her message to other young women is that they should work hard, be patient and respect the time God has chosen.

“When it’s your time to shine, God will not keep anything dull your light.”
