The deceased (known to Alex Reporter) found in Setjwetla, Alexandra, was 32 years old.
Motorists found him dead on the early morning of April 11th 2021.
He had blood on his T-shirt with his hands tied behind his back.
A family member, whom we spoke to, asked for a room to be given to the bereaved family because they were still shocked.
He also requested that the identity of the deceased be kept secret.
The deceased, who had worked for the South African Airways, as a mechanic, was a married man.
On October 8 2018 he posted picture of his wedding and headlined it: “Look at God.”
He originated from Thohoyandou in Venda, but lived in Midrand.
His neighbor, who requested to remain anonymous, said:
“We grew up in the same area. His cousin is my best friend.
“Those who were with him partying, the night before he died, said he was hijacked on his way home. They suspect the hijackers dumped his body in Alex.
“His car was also taken. However, his friend told me it was found in one piece.”
A Bramely communications officer on standby, Constable Mabulane, said:
“It appears that this man was shot somewhere and dumped there.
“Few meters away, three cartridges were identified through the preliminary investigation.
“The murder case was opened by the Bramely SAPS and the investigation continues.”
Mabulane pleaded with anyone with information concerning the case to contact police on 0860010111.
“You may choose to remain anonymous for safety. You may also contact the Bramley Communications Officer, Captain Molefe Mogodi, on 0824110188 or, if you have any information, contact the provincial Communications Officer, Kay Makhubela, at 0827780402.
“I can also be reached on 0798776448. We urge the community to work together with the police so that we can eliminate the level of criminality in our society.”
