Police are investigating a murder case after three (3) people died in a horrible accident on R23 near Standerton.
An injured person was admitted to Standerton Hospital.
Earlier, it was believed that this was in fact an ordinary accident. However, after intensive investigation by a team of detectives, the evidence proved otherwise as it was discovered that, the couples were having a party in one of the couple’s apartments.
The second couple allegedly had an argument and, as a result, a 31-year-old boyfriend stabbed his 33-year-old girlfriend to death.
According to the Provincial Spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy, the other couple assisted the boyfriend to load the dead body in a motor vehicle of the deceased, with the intent to conceal the body.
“While they were driving on R23, they collided with the truck and an African female who assisted to load the deceased in ordeal died.
“Her boyfriend was critically injured and transported to Standerton Hospital.
“A 31-year- old boyfriend of the killed girlfriend also died. Police are investigating cases of murder and culpable homicide,” said Selvy.
