Khulekane Sfiso Mthimunye (21), from Ekangala, appeared at the Bronkhorspruit Magistrates’ Court, facing a charge of murder of his father.
It is alleged that on 08 October 2023, Mthimunye went to the Ekangala police station and informed the police officers that he had killed his father.
According to Lumka Mahanjana, the NPA spokesperson, the police took him to the place of residence where he shared with his father.
“On arrival the police officials opened the locked house, and the accused led them to the deceased’s room where his mutilated body was found lying on the floor,” said Mahanjana.
The matter was deferred to 17 October 2023, for his psychological evaluation.
