Alexandra woman whose two kids were killed by their father is struggling to cope with their deaths.
Naledi Mfolo wrote yesterday on Alexandra News & Content Facebook page seeking help as she can’t cope with the deaths of her two boys.
” I’m looking for a recommendation of counseling that might be suitable for my case. I thought I’ll be strong enough without it, but lately it’s making my health weak as I cry daily before I sleep. Burying two kids at the same time is hell….please help😭😭😭,” she wrote.
On March this year, Evans Hlangwane, a taxi driver and pastor, killed his two sons and committed suicide at Edenvale Hospital.
Former Alex Police station commander, Brigadier Lindiwe Magudulela said the man was linked to the death of his two kids.
It’s not known how he managed to committ suicide as he was under police guard in hospital.
On 1 March 2023, it is alleged that he poisoned Thato (13) and Lesego (6) and Boitumelo (9) with a rat poison. Boitumelo has survived.
In August, Mfolo wrote on her Facebook wall. ” If tears could make a river, mine would be bigger than the Nile River. If a heartbreak sound was loud enough, it could cause an earthquake.

“How can a man be this ruthless,how can a father kill his own kids? I’m so hurt, I can’t even express my emotions.”
Hlangwane allegedly took the kids from Ikage Primary school to his house at 4th Avenue, Alexandra.
Mfolo, the River Park resident, said that a day before the children died, the man, who was also her ex-boyfriend, came with a brown envelope full of pictures of the children.
“I was shocked to see that. But, because we hadn’t been together for almost two years, I thought bringing the photos was a way for him to finally accept that we are not together.”
She said the following day, he fetched the children from classes and took them to his place, where he prepared food which was allegedly laced with deadly rat poison.
“He forced all three children to eat the poisoned food and told them to sleep. He also ate the food in an attempt to kill himself, but he survived,” Mfolo said.
