Enrolled Nurse certificate or equivalent qualification and registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in HIV and related programmes.
Experience working in public health facilities engaging with adolescents and youth will be an advantage.

The intervention will focus on case identification, linkage to care and retention strategies meant for strengthening retention outcome for adolescents and young people.
Key duties and responsibilities
Provide health education, with Anova/DoH teams, to adolescents and youth in focused health facilities.
Improve access and uptake of HTS and linkage to care by adolescents and young people.
Support facilitation of adolescents support groups in AYFS facilities.
Work closely with clinical teams to enhance retention and clinical outcomes.
Improve retention in care and clinical outcome for adolescents living with HIV.
Create a safe space for adolescents to discuss social and health-related issues affecting them.
Assist with transitioning adolescents to adult services.
Provide support to AYFS activities.
Serve as a link between adolescents, local clinics, CBOs and other health services within the community.
Maintain records for adolescents and youth supported through the monitoring tools: HCT, tested, tested HIV positive, linked into care, SRH and treatment adherence care and support.
Essential qualifications and experience
Grade 12 (Matric).
Local youth between 19 and 24 years of age.
Currently unemployed and not engaged in formal education.
Experience in public speaking and previous leadership roles an advantage.
Good facilitation and report writing skills.
Good problem solving skills.
Punctual, reliable and organized.
Knowledge and experience in engaging with adolescents.
Excellent interpersonal and mobilizing skills.
Prior knowledge of HIV/AIDS and a recognized HIV counselling certificate would be a distinct advantage.

To provide technical, capacity building and health system-strengthening support that will initiate or enhance the roll-out of various prevention services within a programme.
Key duties and responsibilities
Educate AGYW on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) benefits.
Distribute IEC materials that talks about GBV, SRH, HIV and PrEP services etc.
Facilitate educational facility-based campaigns that promote and instil determination, resilience, empowerment that leads to HIV free generations, mentored AGYW and reducing risk of harm both mentally and clinically.
Age –appropriate HIV risk reduction counselling and HIV disclosure for those infected prenatally with HIV.
Facilitation of adherence support group for unstable AGYW on ART.
Collaborate with Data Captures and PHC re-engineering team leader to trace lost to follow up AGYW in the adherence support groups.
Support and mentor on site staff on processes of disclosure implantation and documentation.
Provide in-service trainings to Enrolled Nurses /Assistant on PrEP, PGBV, AYFS standards assessments and facilitation of AGYW support group.
Complete, compile and submit relevant data forms.
Audit client folders at facilities to ensure correct stationary is used and completed.
Compile and submit relevant reports weekly, monthly and quarterly.
Essential qualifications and experience
Grade 12 (Matric).
Enrolled Nurse certificate or equivalent qualification and registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Local youth between the ages of 20 and 30 years.
2 to 3 years’ experience in HIV or related field.
Previous experience in a surgical environment and counselling (an advantage).
2 years’ experience in working with AGYW living with HIV.
2 to 3 years’ experience in clinical care with HIV/Aids, TB, STI, and related experience.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good report writing skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
