When I heard a beautiful saxophone sound, I was inquisitive!
It happened yesterday while I was minding my own business and passing 17 Selboune where he was.
I was not at work, but I had the resources and I was immediately obliged to check where the sound came from.
He played Asibe Happy, one of my favorite songs from Kabza de Small. He plays about 6 instruments, but he’s a saxophone guru!
The resident in 53- 17th avenues taught himself to play instruments through the Internet.
He’s been a sax player for three years.
“I want to know how to read music as a saxophonist, and my dream is to find a saxophonist job and have an income,” he says.
His immediate challenge is that he is unable to service his saxophone because he has no money.
He has advice to someone: ” Don’t give up until you reach where you want to be. Learn more things about your talent, know your talent history and don’t discriminate those who have the same talent like you.”
