In one of the videos shared on social media, Shebeshxt can be heard moaning and pleading with a friend to pass him water.
Popular musician Shebeshxt’s daughter passed away in a fatal accident on the R37 road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo on Saturday night.
The nine-year-old girl was travelling with the musician on his way to perform at an ANC Siyanqoba Rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo.
There were three passengers in Shebeshxt’s Volkswagen Polo when the vehicle collided with a truck and overturned.
The other unidentified passenger sustained moderate-to-light injuries.
The celebration concert is scheduled to take place at Zone R Park in Lebowakgomo on Sunday. Also billed to entertain fans are King Monada and Prince Benza, among others.
Tidimalo Chuene, the spokesperson for the transport department in Limpopo, confirmed on Sunday morning that the nine-year-old girl could have passed away at the scene.
According to Chuene, the accident occurred just after 10pm. “A charcoal Volkswagen Polo collided with a heavy motor vehicle,” said Chuene.
Shebeshxt was treated for serious injuries on the scene before being transported to the hospital.
Chuene said the police are investigating the cause of the crash.
In videos shared on social media platforms, the body (of the girl) can be seen lying covered next to the Volkswagen Polo, which is damaged on the side.
In another video, the musician is seen lying on the ground while medical practitioners treat his injuries next to the stretcher.
Clad in red trousers, Shebeshxt lies in agony with his right foot and head bandaged. He can also be heard moaning and pleading with a friend to pass him water.
This is the second serious car accident that Shebeshxt has been involved in this year.
In January, Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, was lucky to escape unscathed in an accident that left his new Golf GTI written off.
In videos shared on social media at the time, the Monateng hitmaker can be seen removing his belongings from the wrecked vehicle, which appeared to be damaged from the front with an engine that looked damaged beyond repair.
