Being a poet is not a walk from Alex Mall to Vezinyawo or a walk in the park next to Setjwetla bridge.
But one needs to have qualities like creative mind, passion and work tirelessly to make the dream come true.
Sinazo Fesi has proven that she is a poet with more than qualities but with actions!
She became a role model when she published her first poetry in 2016 , titled ‘Ingqaka yohlanga’,loosely translated cream of the nation.
Her book, she says, addresses basic life obstacles with its main objective being to bring inspiration, hope, faith, confidence and improve self esteem in readers.
“I can proudly attest to that objective being attained according to the reviews the book had,” says the hot Xhosa woman from Eastern Cape, currently based in Alexandra Vasco da Gamma.
Sinazo’s infectious smile illuminated the atmosphere and her beauty made the interview glamorous and easy to handle.
She said her book was inspired by life experiences.
“I have chosen this path specifically because it helps me express my thoughts and experiences better while also giving hope to others that happen to face similar challenges. Poetry has been my passion when I was 16 years old.”
Ever since her book was published, she never looked back. She says she wants to grow in poetry and be known for her work.
“I wish to touch lives, bring about hope and make a difference to my readers…that is my ultimate goal. Furthermore, I wish to see my work shared globally using different platforms, even dramatization.”
She says young people must follow their dreams and be willing to put in all the hard work.
“Most importantly, stay true to yourself and be ready to take on challenges of life head-on as they are thrown to you.
“Stay strong, humble and always pray for directions from God.”
