Gauteng Social Development MEC Morakane Mosupyoe will officially open the Ikusasa Lethu Youth Development Project (IYDP) in Alexandra Township, North of Johannesburg.
The center will help improve employability to the youth of Alexander by providing accredited skills development programmes such as: End-user computing, graphic design and multimedia, web design, nail and beauty, bricklaying, tiling, plastering, welding, carpentry, and furniture making.
“The provision of skills development in partnership with the NPO sector is part of the Department’s Sustainable Livelihoods programme.
“We will continue to partner with such organisations in the province, that have similar objectives in their mandate of creating youth employment opportunities and reducing poverty,” says MEC Mosupyoe.
