Before the release of his highly anticipated EP, which he mostly rapped in vernacular (Tsonga), Ammunition Cryze Buoy (ACB) had massively promised his fans that he would not disappoint them!

Indeed, ACB stayed true to his promises and hypnotized his fans with the EP.

He said he always read the hearts of his fans and knew what kind of style they would need.

“I didn’t disappoint them because I knew what path I would take at the beginning of making this EP. I’m very excited,” he says.

In this 6 Song EP, ACB features Xphola, Rotonda Kwinda, Luttist, Jay-B, Tshova Krazy Boy Magaraba and Nikka YoungSan.

Through songs such as Aku Humeki, S’khala S’baningi, Swinkuzana Swa Vatsonga and Xikotlo, ACB unveils how he is made of.

ACB, originally from Mdavula, discovered his talent as a rapper in 2019.

” I was in grade 10 aged 16. The guy I featured on track number 5, Krazy Boy Magaraba, is the one who inspired me. I named myself Crayze Buoy because of him.

“He was using this name around 2011 until he changed it (to Krazy Boy Magarab). Even now I’m still learning from him.

“In the near future , I just want to be like this guy or even better than him.”

His real name is Rito Tonic Mashamba (19). He follows in the footsteps of his father, Tonic ‘MrLee’ Mashamba, known locally for playing, bass and lead and drums.

Lee, who has played drums for Dr. Thomas Chauke and bass for his son, Themba Chauke, says the music runs through his family blood.

“I knew in 2019 that Rito was into music , but I didn’t know he was a big fan of rap. After listening to his songs, I realized my son had a great talent ,” says Lee.

Unlike his father, who is a news editor for Giyani View and Alex Reporter newspapers, ACB aspires to become a Civil Engeeneer.

He encourages his peers to go to school. He discourages them not to focus much of their energy on Tsonga rap, because there’s was little chance of anyone getting rich on Tsonga Rap.

“Tsonga Rap alone won’t take you far, but you’ll be famous for your Kasi. Let’s not rely on it but just do it for fun.

“If you want to be wealthy, at least do something else besides Tsonga Rap.

“Everything is possible when you tell yourself. So, you can be what you want to be,” he said.

EP stands for ‘Extended Play,’ meaning that an EP is longer than a single, but shorter than an album.

EPs usually have about 2-5 songs and are less than 30 minutes long.
