Umkhokha: M-Net Original Production Takes Viewers on a Thrilling Journey of Power Struggle, Business, and Culture in KwaZulu-Natal

M-Net’s latest drama series, Umkhokha, takes viewers on a thrilling journey of power struggle, business, and culture in KwaZulu-Natal.

The series follows the story of a mega-church that is viewed as a business after signing a lucrative contract with a beverage company. However, after the murder of the church’s leader, a power struggle for leadership ensues, leading to unexpected twists and turns.

Starring Deli Malinga, Sthandiwe Kgoroge, Nay Maps, Linda Sokhulu, Hope Mbhele, Sibonile Ngubane, and Kwezi Ndlovu, Umkhokha is an M-Net Original Production based on an original concept by Mandla KaNozulu and produced by Rhythm World Productions, excellently scripted by seasoned writers that includes Chris Q. Radebe Sasa Nqabeni, Sayitsheni Mdakhi, Zoleka Monare and Awelani Makhuvha,
Siphosethu Tshapu and Kagiso Mogale.

Becky Castings is one of the casing agencies that have a number of actors and actresses that are featured on Umkhokha.

While talking about the actual process of putting the show together, Dube said: “As for the show, I just like the fact that it requires simple and natural looks only for all actors and backgrounds, which is something new.

“I believe that gave KZN people an opportunity, especially aspiring actors,” she added.

Umkhokha promises to captivate audiences with its unique storyline, talented cast, and breathtaking scenery. The show is set to air on Mzansi Magic on 6th March 2023 at 8:30.
