Under-21 teams are now able to compete for R10,000 and kits after Sibonelo ‘Pastor’ Mtshali reopened the door

Teams are invited to the Sihle Mtshali Top 16 Tournament, which will take place in Lawley, south of Johannesburg, from August 9 to August 18, 2024.

The objective is to gather young people from diverse backgrounds and offer them a platform to showcase their talents in front of a significant audience.

Sibonelo stated that the tournament is open to all teams who are interested in competing against the best under-21 teams.

The tournament held last year was a massive success, with teams from Soweto, Vaal, Lenasia, Lawley, and Kanana Park fighting it out and entertaining fans.

He says that this tournament is for everyone, regardless of whether you play in league or not.

“The last tournament was enjoyable for all participants. The players who took part in the tournament had a good time,” Sibonelo added.

Prizes:

* First place: R10,000, kit, trophy, and medals.

* Second place: R4,000, kit, and medals.

* Individual trophies include Player of the Tournament, Goalkeeper of the Tournament, and Player of the Tournament.
