The police in Lebowakgomo ,
Capricorn District are investigating a case of murder. This follow the killing of a woman in the township on Tuesday 22 October 2024 at around 18:30.
It is reported that the police were summoned to the shooting scene and on arrival, found a female lying on the ground with gunshot wounds on the upper body.
Emergency Medical Services Personnel arrived at the scene and upon arrival the victim was declared dead.
She was later identified by her next of kin as Mumsy Seribishane,(51).
It is also reported that the suspect (s) fled the scene in a white golf without registration numbers.
The motive behind the killing is not clear at this stage and the investigation is still going on.
The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has condemned the incident and ordered the police to make use of the available resources to search for the suspects responsible for the senseless killing.
